Some Days are Diamonds...

Or, shall I say...Some "Mornings" are Diamonds!!!

However you want to put it, this particular morning was swap delicious!

I was honored to participate in a swap with Karen of Some Days are Diamonds and Julia of Vintage with Laces.

These two girls are fabulously talented and along with you, they are two of my best BBF's (best blog friends)!!!

Today, I'll post about what showed up on my doorstep from Sunny California...from my California "Diamond" girl, Karen.

First things first, I have TWO confessions to make.

CONFESSION #1...

I was late on this swap...like um, TWO months late!

These two girls forgave me & they still love me (i think).

Will they ever ask me to swap again? hmm. Who knows?

CONFESSION #2...

It doesn't matter how many packages I have waiting for me to open...

I will wait for the PERFECT time to open them when I am not rushed, not disturbed and when I have good lighting ;)

I love to savor each and every detail, have it burned into my little memory and of course, photograph everything!

DSC_0004 (2)

How cool is this cabinet card by "SWAPS STUDIO"???

(See, if I was rushed, I would have missed that!)

So with that said...it took me almost TWO weeks (after the two months being late) to open their boxes and they patiently waited. I told you that they were my BBF's! Who else would put up with that?  ;)

So in the early morning light...

I sat on the floor...

DSC_0014

in the peace and quiet...

DSC_0015 (2)

just me and my camera...

DSC_0003 (2)

and savored each little detail  :)

She sent me some French text...

DSC_0007 (2)

some French ephemera...

DSC_0012

a French book (love love)...

DSC_0017 (2)

"Uncle Jacques" to add to my extended family...

DSC_0006 (2)

le velvet (love love love)...

DSC_0019 (2)

some California love...

DSC_0021 (2)

some Paris Market (Savannah, GA)...

DSC_0022 (2)

my favorite piece of ephemera...

DSC_0028 (2)

some bottle bling...

DSC_0024 (2)

but I must show you the whole bottle she made...

DSC_0025

and more bling...

DSC_0010 (2)

of the journal she embellished (love love love)...

DSC_0008 (2)

and all in a nutshell swap...

DSC_0032 (2)

in the early morning light, I shall...

Hi Miss "Leavingpackagesunopenedforaneternity", Even though you tortured us quite a bit, I still LOVE you and would swap with you any time again! Next time I might insert a little mechanism though, which destroys the package automatically if it's not opened within 48 hours after receipt, ha, ha, ha.
Karen's gifts are beautiful!!! Have fun with all those lovely treasures!
Hugs, hugs, hugs,
Julia

well I don't know you well, I don't have a beautiful blog like you do, and I'm way too poor to have swaps, but wow how lovely of you to share...it's so beautiful, I love vintage and I love your blog, and you don't have to visit mine, I just really feel good when I come here, which is of course all thanks to Christina ICandy, and Scrapbook Diva, Deb who have opened my eyes to a world of art and whom i shall be grateful too forever. Long message, sorry, I'm just very awed and grateful :)
