In my last post, I showed you only a fraction of the good stuff that was available at vendor night. Awesome, huh?
I promised you that I would show you my Texas~sized loot that followed me back to Louisiana, but...
Let me start off by saying that it's not my fault that I bought so much.
{really. seriously. it's. not. my. fault}
It's the Vendors' to blame because their prices were so AWESOME and their stuff was so dang FABULOUS. I don't care what anybody says...you can't blame me for bringing ALL of this home.
I am only the beneficiary of all this goodness :)
okay. are you ready?
The first purchase of the evening was my prized "move over please", "excuse me please", "can I see that please?", "snatch and grab", "pay for", "hide it in my purse", and "Thank God I have it" piece...
This gorgeous bracelet was made by Liesl Milford and her sister of The Perennial Bohemian. Nope...I have no link...I lost my card! augh! All I know is they live around Shreveport Louisiana.
{All good things come from Louisiana!}
If I find my card, I'll let you know ;)
The rhinestones and the bird are set deep in resin...to die for!
Next up were these fabulous trims and laces from The Dove's Nest.
Most were marked half off which were unreal because they were already priced so low to begin with.
Into the tea pot these will go!
My heart sank when I saw this below...
It was the back cover of a book that was mixed with others in a huge messy box. I grabbed it and when I turned it around, I almost hit the floor...
My beloved New Orleans!
It is a year book from the Immaculate Conception College...almost one hundred years ago!!!
Even the lady I bought it from did not realize it. I think she even had second thoughts as she hesitated in handing it back to me after I paid FIVE DOLLARS for it! I know! I know! :)
Awe...and these cuties below were a gift! A GIFT from Rio Boudreaux Nancy Reeb from her vendor booth. She walked up and surprised me with these...I just love LOVE her! Now I can't wait for Christmas! Don't they make you smile too?
I picked up some wonderful vintage sheet music from Jennifer Stewart. Now I REALLY can't wait for Christmas!!!
I love the name of her etsy shop...Saturday Morning Vintage
This beauty below was one of my biggest purchases of the weekend. I acquired it from Lisa of Tarnished and Tattered.
It cost me MEGA bucks and LOTS of sweat!
Do you know how many people wanted this inspiration board?
I had to keep it in the hotel vault, hire a body guard and I had to have a 6-hour police escort back to Louisiana. (just kidding)
This is the same inspiration board that Lisa used for her Tattered Tags class...just look how gorgeous it was in her display below.
My studio is not worthy of it right now but it will be shortly!
Who doesn't love LETTERS?
METAL LETTERS?
Especially like when they are 25 cents a piece! :)
This precious little necklace below is what I bought from Chantal of Wishblooms. I just love her and her Mother Maryse to pieces. As an added plus to the Paper Cowgirl weekend, she brought her two gorgeous girls, Presleigh and Savannah. I'm always so excited to spend time with these delightful and polite young ladies!!!!
Please...just keep in mind what we talked about earlier.
This is NOT my fault for bringing home all of these goodies!
Go take a break and come back...I still have more...lots more!
.
.
.
Alrighty now. What you are about to see ALL comes from ONE vendor. I seriously tried to buy the whole table as I must have went back at least three times that night and made more purchases every time I walked up. And, I'm not even going to mention how we stalked her hotel room! yes ma'am we did.
I'm talking about Jamie of Art-e-ology.
She's my twin sister. Seriously! {oh how I wish}
I'm going to make this quick because right about now, I'm sure you are so jealous with all of my "beneficiary stuff"...I hope you still love me :)
I bought a little Velveeta wooden box and filled it with FOUR ball and claw legs...
and some of old binocular pieces, crystal chandeliers and old door handle back plates.
Underneath the old Velveeta box of goodies is some paper ephemera, FREE dominoes and old game cards.
Spread all over the paper ephemera is more old binocular pieces, rusty railroad nails, porcelain doll pieces, and more.
I bought some ledger paper and old prescription sheets.
Paper ephemera is my WEAKNESS!
I see that doctors' handwriting was bad, even way back when!
And my other weakness is cabinet cards. I picked up a few over the weekend...just a "few"! My extended family is SO big and beautiful :)
Jamie had these awesome old wheels. Some were wood, some were metal. Can you imagine the ART that can be created with these beauties? I've got to put my thinking cap on as to what I will do with these...
And last but not least, one of my favorite finds in a box below her table...an old album. All tattered and faded.
Just my style. And my price. FIVE DOLLARS.
It's filled with old frames...no photos...just frames that once held some of our ancestors. hmmm. I wonder where they are now?
Now do you see why I love me some Jamie?
She's awesome and I really REALLY need to thank Lori of My Faerie Window for hooking Jamie and I up a while back and for reminding me to save my pennies because Jamie was going to be a vendor at Paper Cowgirl. Thank You Lori! And Thank You Jamie for all of my goodies. I just LOVE everything & I love you too!!!
*If you're a vendor and you remember me buying something from you...don't panic because I didn't list you. I didn't list you because I bought gifts and I'm sure you wouldn't want me to spoil any surprises, now would you? ;)
I'm so happy that you stayed all the way to the end because this ending is VERY special.
Of all what I bought everywhere in Waxahachie Texas and throughout the weekend, I want to show you my dearest prized possession of all.
It touched my heart deeply and it was so very priceless.
It was a gift from the heart of Cat Daddy...
He remembered :)
~Looking forward to seeing ya'll again in the Fall~
Hope everyone had a Safe and Happy 4th of July holiday!

You're telling the truth, Miss Junk Gypsy. It's NOT your fault! There was NO way you could have left those treasures on the vendor's tables. The bracelet is beautiful and the ball and claw legs are just awesome! I love all the paper ephemera as well as the binocular pieces. You scored big time, girl! Have lots of fun playing with all your new goodies :-)!
Hugs and hugs and hugs,
Julia
OH Jodie...you DID find the best stuff...I just LOVE all the little goodies, too!
I will call them 'TREASURES'! :)
Amy B.
Ohhh my Jodie - I love all the goodies you brought home - everything is sooo pretty and I certainly understand why you had to visit Jamies table 'a few times' - I would have too. WOW. Can´t wait to see what you create with everything.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Wishing you a wonderful day
xo Tina
Jodie le Juene you hit the motherlode of vintage. My stomach is in a knot...seeing all the things I missed. I didn't even get in the main room for an hour! Ahh - but I'm glad my favorite Cajun had good luck in Texas...you'll be back for sure. Oh...that inspiration board - silly girl - it's perfect for your craft room! Love, Rio
Awww! Can I come shopping with you pleeeeease! I love the inspiraton board. What fun!
Love, Jacqui
I envy you dear Jodie. What a great treasures you've bought.
Hugs from Ester.
Dear miss Jodie/Julia LeJeune,
What is this about Jamie being your twin>?? Humph, or however you spell it. Signed, a sad soul.
Okay Jodie,
Took my meds, thought it over & it's all good. I loved Jamie that much too so we'll be triplets, how bout that? Triplets are kind of cool even.
And BTW, anyone who reads this, I tried to GIVE the inspiration board as a bribe but this is one stand up gal. She can't be bought. I could have at least let you have it for sweatshop pay. I didn't see that bird bezel pendant. If I did I surly would have tried to get it into my suitcase while you were sleeping, oh but then I would have left the suitcase in the closet & left it there anyway. It's abeaut tho along with all of the other treasures, I love my haul too. Love,
Now & Always,
Lisa Marie
It's like Christmas in July!!!
I love sitting here in Jersey but you have taken me for a ride......you go paper cowgirl!!!!! I was literally taken away for a few minutes.....so talented you are....Jodie!!!!! Thanks for sharing your journey AND taking me along in spirit.......ephermera is not your weakness.....it is your stregnth!!!!!! I can't spell!!!!
Oh wow Jodie and you say it's not your fault.
Oh sure it is the vendors fault, they just shouldn't have had all those fabulous goodies.
Alison
Oh my goodness!! Who could resist such artful goodies?? You scored BIG!!! What awesome finds!! Can't wait to see the pretties you create with these. xoxoxo Heidi
I brought home a lot of goodies too! Would have been more if I had been able to beat you to the album, the ball & claw feet (you lucky, lucky girl!) or the bird necklace. I couldn't get over the prices either!
Love the necklace Chantal made also...wish I'd have noticed it! But there was just soo much eye candy that my eyes would hardly stay put long enough to see what was there. LOL
Absolutely Unbelieveable!!! It all looks priceless to me!
Oh and you better NOT invited Lisa for a visit!
Ruth ;)
All I can say is - HOLY MOLY! Now, go make something beautiful!
Wow, Jodie! Can't believe all the fabulous loot you went home with! I would have probably tried to beat you to that gorgeous bracelet....yummy!
LOVE everything! And the cap? Perfect for you! Can't wait to see what you'll create with everything!
Paper ephemera is my weakness, too...and I've just scored a TON! I'm at my parents' house in Utah, and in this little antique shop in the old part of a town near us, I keep going in and bringing home packages of ephemera he's put together for just $10 a pack--for 40 or 50 fabulously unique things a pack!!! I'm seriously addicted, and he knows I'm coming back in this week, and he's putting more together for me--YIKES!
Hope you're having a wonderful week!
Julie
And you did it all without me . . . :(
You KNOW how much I love all of it . . . sigh.
:) Karen
Hey Jodie...you are seriously testing our friendship here girl! I am so green right now...I could be a body double for the 'Green Giant'.
It looks like a wonderful time to me. Someday...someday, I WILL be able to attend one of these retreats.
I enjoyed your posts on this event so much Jodie, and I do want to thank you for posting about it. It really has been a treat to hear and see about all the fun you had here. No one deserves it more.

Oweee! I especially love the empty photo album. Just the right color. Good thing I have no idea where YOU live or that album would be sneaking out the door with with on a fast horse.
karen
Wow, I feel like I am at one of the most interesting vintage shops around. Your blog is lovely. I will certainly check in from time to time to see whats new. Kimberly
Dang girl, why is it that my photos from the same event look like photojournalism and yours look like ART???
And how is it that I didn't see that awesome bracelet?
Didn't we have the most fun ever? I mean, really?!
You already know that I think the world of you, but I also want you to know that you've carved out a special place in my heart. You're a true kindred spirit and a sister under the skin. You are, quite simply, the best. :-)
Big hugs,
Anne

Who can blame you, girl, for snatching up those treasures? I especially love that ledger paper. I have a weakness for paper ephemera, too!
