I'm playin' again...I'm just sayin'...

Gosh it's been a long time since I "played" in my studio...like almost a year? Yep...it's been about a year.

Wait a cotton pickin' minute...That's not true!

I spend every waking hour in my pj's in there...but I'm always working. I'm always working on a swap or a gift or a project, but never nothing for me or for you!

Since Dad fell sick and passed away last year...I haven't really had the time to "play" just for fun. You know, the type of "play" without a real project or deadline in mind?

Well, let me tell you that after that horrible yard sale last weekend, I played...

and played...

and OH did it feel SO good!

Good quality therapy!

{you can find these here}

So while I have you here and I have your full attention, I want to thank you for your sweet comments from the last post. I tried to make light (I mean black) of that pitiful 7 mile yard sale.

Didn't you just love those black boxes? I thought it was quite funny myself!

I thought by making a "funny" out of my day, it would relieve my stroke symptoms...{and it did!}

But on the other hand, I hope I didn't give you a stroke or owe you a new computer because you threw it out the window when you thought it wasn't downloading the photos ;)

But instead of being funny, I guess I should have showed you the sweet things that I did come home with...

Sandy (from California) made me this beautiful necklace below, complete with So Cal sand from the beach!!!  Love it!!!

And while at the yard sale, Sarah found this awesome bracelet for me. She has such a good eye and beats me to all the good stuff. She found herself some great zebra print luggage for her trip to Kim's event in California this summer. So be on the look out for a mermaid that's headed toward the beach with LOTS of zebra luggage!!!! Get out of her way!!!! ;)

Sandi surprised me with a jar full of these dominoes...

and this wonderful "J" full of bling!!!!

Then UPS delivered a little box for me from sweet Rosalyn~Sue. I cannot wait to meet her in Savannah next month. She has organized so much fun stuff for Jenn's event so far and we've already been having such a wonderful pre-party time!!! Like for example, we had a little secret quiz on the message board and she sent out a book (of our choice) JUST for participating! I chose The Flea Markets of France and I've had my nose stuck in it ever since I unwrapped it!

The illustrations and the photography are just SO beautiful!

Thank you Rosalyn~Sue!

    Then Monday came around...which led my beloved mailman to me once again.

(I love him ONLY when he brings me packages)

He brought me TWO packages! Oh if I weren't married, I'd...

JUST KIDDING!  ;)

One is from Julie~Ann and the other is from Ester. I haven't opened them yet, but those who know me know that I'm waiting for the moment when I can sit and ENJOY the moment of opening them up without being rushed!

To Julie~Ann and Ester:

Thank you in advance!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!! I'll be posting about the surprises soon, I promise!!!!!

And to all of you, I hope this post was more eye candy than the last post. I tried to make up for the black box joke although what more eye candy can be better than three of the most beautiful girls out there in blog land?

Well, at least Sandy and Sarah are!     tee hee!

Don't you just wish you were at the flea markets in France?

I do. {sigh}

The flea market in France can be just like the 7 mile dissapointment! I was there and only came home with ONE thing and the only reason I bought it was to say I had something from the Paris flea market. lol

Wow--you know how to play, girl! Love what you created! Please do it more often!

And what lovely gifts you've received! I don't love my mailman nearly as much as you do...you have every reason, apparently!

Hope you find the quiet time you crave to pour over your other gifts today--I totally get it! Savoring the moment is half the fun!

Have a gorgeous day, Jodie!

The necklaces are just GORGEOUS, Miss Jodie!!! I love all of them! When you play, you are so very creative and productive!
Sandy's gifts for you are very pretty, especially the necklace. Even though they are all-purpose and match everything, I'm glad you didn't come home with just a couple of black squares on Saturday. They just lack the feel ;-).
On Sunday morning it rained over here, so I didn't go to the flea market. The sun came out later but I didn't want to drive 40 minutes to find out if there had been a couple of vendors appeared.
Please don't keep us in suspense to long to see what's in the packages you received!
Until then good night and good luck :-)!
xoxo,
Julia

Hi Jodie!
Yes, I'm back...well, sort of! I'm still busy as ever but decided to open my blog to post pictures every once in a while! With grandkids, a full time job, and a home in the country and wanting to spend time in the Bible, I found I just couldn't keep a blog up! But I will post from time to time! Thank you for re-finding me! Love you pictures, as always! AND....you're going to "Petticoast & Parasols" soon! WHOOT!
Hugs, Heidi

:-) I had to look on the previous post and see what it's all about. I remember you saying and looking forward to this huge yard sale. And I was looking forward to seeing what you came home with. Oh dear! With nothing that caught your eye, that must be one lonnnnnngggggggg yard sale. Good thing you have friends with you.

But I guess what you just received now makes up for all of it, I think :-)Yup, sure of it . Love the Destiny and keyhole necklace. I wonder, with one having the keyhole - who holds the key - a special loveone! ? :-)

Li

Hey Sweet Girl...
Your jewelry is awesome, it looks like you played good with all the amazing things you came up with. & don't you just LOVE staying in your jammies & creating. Sometimes I think I have clothing issues, why is it I prefer to be in my jammies then any other piece of clothing I own. I'm always on the search for something that feels like wearing jammies, but looks like clothing. OK, I do have issues! I just wasted your time reading this silly comment that started out about you & ended up about me...I'm a weirdo, sorry!

Susie
