okay...say that title above three times...and fast...ha!
First, let's start off with the pretty stuff, like the Boxes and Bundles of Beauty. Then we'll get to the irritating blogger blooper that is totally driving me crazy. Right now, I want to talk "pretty".
I promised you in the last post that I would show you my goodies from two special friends that I've met through blogging.
(what a wonderful world this is, sigh)
This sweet surprise is from Julie Ann of Kitchen Floor Creations. I'm so excited that I will finally get to meet her in person next month in Savannah at Jenn's event. Do ya think that there will be a lot of hugging going on there between the two of us???
um hum! ;)
Alrighty then, let's open it up! You are not going to believe what it is...
Ok ok! I'll show you what it is...but isn't the material just striking??? I adore, really A-D-O-R-E the fleur de lis in all shapes, sizes and colors...how did Julie Ann know that??? She must be psychic aside from being so dog~gone smart! ;)
It's a precious little teeny dress that she found at an antique store!
She wrote in the card that when she saw it, she thought of ME! :) Speaking of the card...isn't it pretty with those little pearls, ribbon and the little stamp that reads "thinking of you"? I love handmade things...I'm assuming that she made it and it is sentimental to me. It is going straight on my inspiration nest! As for the teeny dress...you guessed it...snip snip! haha! Seriously...I haven't thought about what I will do with it as it is too cute to cut up BUT I'm not saying I won't! ;)
Thank you Julie Ann...I promise to find the perfect use for it but for now, I am just admiring it as it is!!!! :)

Next up is a little box that came in the mail all the way from The Netherlands!!! I don't think that I've ever received something from that far away before...wow!
(Don't you just love the little Dutch girl on the envelope?)
Sweet Ester of Pierelantijntjes sent it to me as a "thank you" for the goodies I sent to her when she won my One World One Heart giveaway. Isn't she just a sweetie? This was so unexpected!
This box was full of Dutch goodies which really touched my heart. It made me feel as if I've known Ester forever as she made this beautiful denim bag...just for me!
Her sewing is absolutely beautiful and I love the bright colors of her heritage...it's so cheery and playful!!
But that's not all!!! Look at the little key chain that was attached to the upper right side of it...
Isn't it precious???
And look what else! She also made a little round zipper pouch and included some beautiful ribbons, another precious key chain and some more cute teeny weeny Dutch shoes!!!!! :)
I'll give you a close up because I don't want you to miss these goodies...they are so detailed!
And that's not all!!! No way! She even sent me the most beautiful tea towel and left over material from the bag she made me above!!! I just love the those patterns!!!
I can tell you right now, those precious key chains will be going on my inspiration nest too and I will find the perfect place to hang my tea towel and beautiful bag. No snipping on those...no no! ;)
Thank you Ester! What a sweet "thank you" surprise!!!! I love every piece in the box. It was totally from your heart and I am so grateful for that! :)

And this my friends...is what I've been stressing out over since the first of February...The Belated Birthday Box!
Sweet Tammy of T's Daily Treasures was celebrating her birthday at the end of February.
So being the organized person I am (ha!), I thought surely I'd get a head start on the shipping and send it in early. It would get to Kuwait in 20 days, right? What? Kuwait? Are you crazy Jodie? Yes, I must have been crazy as I had all the hope in the United States Postal Service. (and I still do to this day)
Well, after almost a month after her birthday, she finally received it! Not all of my hair has fallen out since, but most of it! ;)
You can read more about the package, (not my hair) here.
Happy Belated Birthday once again Tammy ;)
And speaking of belated birthdays, because I'm sure she's steaming as she's reading this...I still have Sandy's birthday goodies strewn all over my studio. Her birthday was last November...that's how organized I really am! Sorry Sandy!
It's a good thing she loves me and never gets mad at me ;)

Now let's discuss the BLOGGER BLOOPERS...what's up with Blogger? I hope it's not just me but I've been trying to leave comments lately and sometimes, not all the time, my comments cannot be published. errrrrr!
Ya'll know me that when I leave a comment, it's usually this humongous short story. I click publish and it goes straight to an error. Lost. Totally lost somewhere out there in blogger land. Well, do you think I want to type all that again? I love you but come on now...I DO have a life even though it might not look like it at times! ;)
So I've come to terms with Blogger. Now when I type my comment, each and every one of them, I highlight it...right click...and click copy. Then I click post. If it goes through, fine! If it doesn't, at least I can go back and click paste and try it again! It usually works the second time but at least I don't have to type it all over again.
What's up with that? Are you having the same trouble???
I hope Blogger clears this up soon, it IS very irritating!!!!
Speaking of irritating...my studio is a mess again!
okay.
um.
this is a long post.
sorry.
I'll let ya go now, although I love your company and hate to say goodbye ;)

Yep, I've been having the same problem, slow and sometimes it won't even bring up the comment form. I try to go back, but sometimes it's easy to forget. Love your two sweet gifties that you received, it's cause you're such a sweetie!
big hugs,
Debra
Yep, that's happened to me a few times, and it really irritates me. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Your gifts are so lovely. Isn't it great getting a gift from someone so far away in another country. Yummy!
Hugs,
Sissie
Weird - I was having that same problem with leaving comments on typepad blogs and I came up with the same solution after having to retype my comment a few too many times. Haven't had it yet with blogger.
The Dutch gifts are wonderful - what an amazing bunch of keepsakes she sent you. -amy
Jodi,
That has happened to me too a few times. I guess it's just a glitch in the system. Love the goods girl! You got a haul!?
When you get done cleaning yours come clean mine! Will have picts up soon of my new scraproom. Finished painted yesterday and my neck sure knows it was the ceiling I painted! considering I'm only 5' tall, that was a JOB!!! But- it is all done... except for the one 6" spot I missed, but think I might just try to ignore it but my OCD may tell me otherwise! Ha Ha!! :)
Have a good night!!

Jodie, what gorgeous goodies you got in the mail...i just love that blogger love mail, there is nothing like it...i had that leaving comments problem a few weeks ago, but not recently...and, all last week...comments to my posts wouldn't show up on my dashboard...i had to go to create a post, to find and moderate my comments...i thought at first that nobody was stopping over...glad i figured it out...it is working fine now...but i know, those glitches can be frustrating...
Gosh girl what a treat for you.
So many lovely gifts and the thought that went into them..so sweet!! Sweets for thE sweet I'd say as you are always so very thoughtful to all of us!
The bag and snippets of leftover fabric from the Netherlands...with those teeny lil keychains..how precious!!
I just love the images of coming and goings from your creative lil niche....blessings to you and I cannot wait for your show & tell from your upcoming retreat!
Well you certainly had a lovely mail day, so many beautiful goodies! Glad your parcel finally arrived to your friend, looks like it was loaded with pretties. I have been having a problem leaving comments too. Hmmmm...hopefully they will make a fix.
Hugs,
Debby
Hi, dear Jodie, You received such wonderful goodies and you deserve it! Have fun playing around, cutting up and creating something beautiful!
Your package to Tammy had been on a quite long trip but fortunately it didn' get lost. It would have been such a shame if all those pretty things wouldn't have arrived.
For the blogger problems. I had those a lot before I had a google account and started blogging myself. Back then it happenend to me all the time and I also did the copy and paste thing. Right now I often get a message like "your comment couldn't be published" but when I click on the "publish your comment" button a second time, it works. It's still strange and a little bit annoying but better than before.
xoxo,
Julia
Julie Ann is just so darned sweet and thoughtful! She won a little giveaway I had yesterday,,,,,it just circles and circles around!
Hard to get it all done! I have a "Sandi" that I now owe a belated Birthday present!
I can usually comment, but I know I have had friends that have left me emails lately that said they couldn't post on my blog! Acck! What a pain in the backside!
Thanks for sharing all your goodies!
Hugs,
Shell
Sweet little treausres for sure. Please don't cut up the little green dress. You'll kick yourself. Can't you just visualize it on a prim hanger and hanging above a little shelv with some very old little vintage shoes beneath. C'mon you know you can see it. Love the Holland Happiness too!
You're just hilarious, Jodie! Love your sense of humor...very important to have one these days!!!
I haven't had that Blogger problem yet, but if I ever do, I'll know what to do now--thanks!
