Let's Begin...

cover created by Sarah ~ The Gypsy Mermaid

Once upon a Valentine Holiday...

nine creative hearts above

gathered together to create fabric pages

full of vintage beauty and love.

Inside cover: Sarah Huckman ~ The Gypsy Mermaid

Nerina Field ~ NicNacManiac

With Sarah as our hostess

she gave us all the rules,

Soon thereafter we gathered and pondered

of which vintage goodies we should then use.

Sharon Giordano ~ A Fanciful Life

We were to make {9}  6X6 fabric pages ~

that was all that was required,

And just make it gorgeous

with whatever our hearts desired.

Pam Kern ~ Frippery

We gathered material

and we gathered lace,

having lots of fun

in our creative space.

Think vintage, think frills...

think of hearts, think of love

oh! to get this finished on time,

I'll need help from above!

Karen DeCapite ~ Some Days Are Diamonds

Add on the bling, Baby!!!

buttons and flowers, trinkets and pearls!!!

While all the time wondering

Will mine measure up to these talented girls?

Oh! The stress and the tears

and all of the chocolate I ate,

Sometimes I just sat and wondered...

was it worth all the headache???

Zandra Cudney ~ Scraps to Beauty by Zandra

Yes Yes Yes!!! oh silly me,

It IS worth the stress!!!!

There's Aleve and Advil

to take care of the headache mess!!!

Kelley Logan ~ Teacups and Ponies

Oh, How could I ever doubt

that my page would not be a beauty?

Things were starting to look better

once I got off of my big fat booty!!!

Sarah Huckman ~ The Gypsy Mermaid

So simply put, when mixed together

we created a Valentine Book of Love.

Not just from a mix of bloggers

but of FRIENDS who were brought together...

from Angels Above!

So there you have it...

Our Valentine Fat Book presented with love...

Minus the stress and headaches

and add patience and excitement.

(don't worry, there are no more rhymes here ;)

We did it! All in time for Valentine's Day...and every year after!!!!

Thank you to all the girls who filled my book with love and special thanks to our sweet hostess, Sarah!!!

*****

Please excuse me while I flip through the beautiful pages again. Isn't it funny how we can notice "sweet little somethings" that we didn't notice before???  ;)

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you too!!

You know how I ADORE Valentine's Day! Not sure yet what all our weekend will entail, but on Valentine's Day evening, husband and I are grilling out steaks and hosting a special dinner for my parents, daughter, daughter's friend, and us. We are all off on Monday as well for President's Day, so the festivities continue as we'll have lunch with friends and then in the afternoon, going to see the new movie "Valentine's Day" of course. :)

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Love,
Linda

Oh Jodie! Now only can you SEW BEAUTIFULLY you can make a rhyme!!! You are just talented beyond belief!
I tell ya, I am honored that I was included with this group of gals. Yes, I was one of the BIGGEST ones sweating it out - but when Sarah just said "Do what you love" it all worked out. All of your tips and pointers and constant cheerleading got me through it. (Well except when you left us all for a week on some big boat!)
So thank you Dearheart for including me. And now I've met new gals and new blogs to love.
It was so fun - wasn't it?
Let's do it again!!!!!!! :)
BIG HUGS! Me.

Hello Miss Jodie... Just stopping by to wish you and the mister a most fabulous Valentine's Day today. I know whatever you do will be special. I'm just trying to get rid of the perfume smell in my house...I saw this cute little bottle at the flea market yesterday and I bought it for the bottle because I'm allergic to perfume. So I tried to empty it in the bathroom and now the whole house smells like perfume. I had to take an Advil to get to sleep because I got such a headache. Good intentions, bad idea! Happy Valentine's Day!
Sharon :-)
