Louisiana style, deep down in Cajun Country where there is always a spice of life and a reason to celebrate...
There are 10 more days until Christmas...
10 more days to surround yourself in the beauty of the season until we celebrate the birth of Christ...
But TODAY, I am celebrating with Karen and all of her friends
for her third {and last} of her Mini Series...
Doors of Welcome.
*****
Please enter with me as I take you inside, to a world of dim lit elegance...
Where there are holiday surprises at every glance.
A beautiful home that is filled with the magic of the holiday...
And mind blowing inspiration everywhere you look.
For we are about to leave the foyer and all it's grandeur...
to a room where the Christmas magic begins...
Aaahhh, truly breathtaking as I hope you can see what I see.
All of the little details here...
and there...
and the stockings are hung on the chimney with care...
Now I'll leave you to tour the home on your own. You may go as fast or slow as you like. The decorating details are amazing and if you decide to go slow, you may pick up a few wonderful ideas that may inspire you. I'll see you again at the end...
Well, are you Impressed? Inspired? Did you make a note of any decorating ideas in particular??? Please tell me as you might have noticed something that I didn't notice! ;)
This is not MY home silly...just in case you were wondering!
This wonderful home was open to the public for our small town's Christmas Open House. It was a delight to tour. The owners are amazing and did all of the decorating themselves! Every step took my breath away and I came home very inspired!!!
It's amazing where some doors will lead you. I hope the next door you visit will intrigue you just as much or maybe even more.
Feel free to click on Karen's link below and explore all the
Doors of Welcome...
Thank you for visiting!!!
:)
And thank you Karen for hosting such a fun tour!

OMG! How inspirational is that!! I would love to replicate the tall glasses that have beautiful marble stones inside, surrounding a votive candle. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing:D
Oh how funny, Linda chose the very element I was going to pick! Aside from the glass votive holders, I like the way the green ribbon is draped down the little Christmas tree. I tend to wrap my ribbon around the tree like a maypole! This has inspired me to try something different.
Oh Jodie! I'm so glad you posted that home! It was gorgeous! (but the deer in the bathroom would drive me crazy!) :) My gosh, they really do it up. The jewel tones and natural elements were beautiful. Love the three copper trees! SOme of her furniture is just to die for.
BOY! Absolutely stunning!
Thanks for sharing. Oh - btw - I sang your song to my guys and they started busting up!!
:) Back to Lillian before she drinks my glass . . .
HUGS!
Jodie I am in awe of your home .. the entry captured me ... I can not even begin to pick just one single thing, they are all breathtakingly presented in your decor. The door entry is inspiring & inviting.
Merry Christmas, TTFN ~Marydon

Do you think there is a chance that drool could short out my laptop? Those photos...that house...OMG!
Thanks for sharing. I might not EVER be the same. I am in house lust!
Wow, wow, wow! Your decorations are gorgeous, elegant, fabulous!
I enjoyed your tour very much. Merry Doors of Welcome!!
Please tell me these folks are floral designers...no one should be that talented. Is it possible to run away with a house...cause I would if it asked me to!
I love that the front and back doors are identical...what an eye for details. You can bet I'm gonna steal the idea for the glass bricks...clever! Even the food looked good. One quick question...then I'll leave you alone. Did they use faux or real greenery on the doors? It's so lush.
Debbie
And YOUR home looks exactly that elegant when you dress it all up in its finery too!! Next year we'll be drooling all over yours!! I know we will!!

Glory be as my Mama would say! Your door is beautiful and THAT home is decorated in a BIG way! Gorgeous decorations, and lots of it. I bet they have to hire help to UN-decorate:) Have a blessed day!
I have never seen anything like this in a private home before, truly breathtaking. I thought it was a showroom in a department store it was so lavish & sumptuous!
Merry Christmas from Normandy where life is a little bit simpler.

You got some fabulous shots of this gorgeous place! Even 'Ghost Girl' that hubs works for doesn't do it like this! At least here at the Hailey house.
This was an amazing walk through.
I know, I know, I can't believe I get so stressed over a couple inches of hair, but you wait till you're my age!lol

Hi Jodie, you are such a cute host. Loved the tour. I don't remember where you live, but there are none of those houses around her. It looks like a southern vintage home. My mouth was droped the whole time. Thank you,
Merry Christmas Jodie, I won't see you again until after the hollidays. I'm sewing up a storm.
You comments always make me feel so good.

Hi Jodie!
Thanks for coming to checkout my blog! So exciting, a new friend and follower :)
I was just looking at some of your older posts and saw that you just lost your father. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father 18 months ago to a 10 year battle with heart disease, that basically robbed my father of his mental and physical faculties. It is heart breaking to visit someone who no longer knows who you are. It profoundly affected my daughter, who chooses to remember her grandfather as the vivacious artistic man she knew and loved, not the one the disease changed him into.
I know this holiday will be hard for you and your family. I will be thinking of you and hope it will somehow be ok.
I am glad we met. I know we share more in common than we probably realize :)
Have a wonderful day!
XoXo,
Gail
WOW! What a tour - everything is just absolutely beautiful... Love the rich colors and everything is just a vision of loveliness!
Blessings

Sorry, I'm late for the party! I popped in yesterday really quick. But, wanted to come back to soak in all that creativity! Oh my gosh, it's breathtaking. It really left me speechless, that's why I had to come today to soak it all in again. lol I can't even begin to imagine how long that takes! I didn't get everything finish for the party, but have it done now and will share next week after my cookie swap party. Hoping Christmas will bring you some joy. Bigz hugz, Z

My Mom and I went on the Christmas Home Tour in my hometown. There were some lovely homes on the tour but nothing decorated to this degree.

Hi Jodie,
Thank your for your lovely response. I am sure your father is happy to be with your mother now. I found a beautiful poem at French Larkspur you need to see...called I'll be with Jesus this Christmas...get your tissues out.
Have a wonderful day!
I will talk to you soon!

What a beautiful and simply fun front entry! Love the decorations from the chandelier. I have one, never thought of decorating it. Maybe next year.
