Birthday MONTH: Day 5

Oh, it hasn't even been a week since my birthday and I have SO much to share with you!!!! I have many many gifts here, some of which I haven't even opened yet!  My birthday MONTH is so exciting...I just loooove October!

Let's start with this box...this big box I received last week from my sister Karen. Yep...if you've been following me for any amount of time, this is my sister from Texas who spoils me and sends me the sweetest surprises...just because. Well, just because she loves me!!! :) In this case, it's my "Birthday Month Box" so let's see what's inside shall we???

Ooooh, looks like MANY presents in here...yay! Sorry about the lighting...the weather was kind of  gloomy outside, but that doesn't stop the excitement happening here!

All together, there are 7 presents to open! I am soooo spoiled!!! I did tell you that I'm 39 right? When it comes to opening presents, I feel like I'm 8 years old!!! I just loooove my birthday!

Wow, Karen is so organized...she has each bag numbered in order of opening them, look at this!

"Open on your birthday"

Number One and Two: "Open 1st"

Number Three: "Keep Track"

Number Four: "Travel to Silver Bella"

Number Five: "To Entertain"

Number Six: "Our Roots, Mama picked 1000's of these"

Number Seven: "Halloween"

Cute huh? She's so creative and fun!!!!

I have a confession to make. I don't know where you were on my birthday so I opened the gift that was labeled "Open on your birthday" without you. I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself! ;)

Here were the two goodies inside...

This crown made me feel like a Queen...look at all the detail!

Ready for me...the birthday queen:

One problem...the birthday queen wasn't ready for a photo op. I'll wait until hubby and I take advantage of one of those birthday rain checks we owe ourselves...I'll be looking a little better once I'm all fixed up ;)

And how much do you just loooove this birthday linen?

I have the perfect spot in my kitchen for the whole month of October. And if Thad is a good boy, I might share it with him next year since his birthday is in September  (3 days before mine). Maybe ;)

Oh and don't worry, after I post this I will go and cut off the Minnie Pearl business over here!  haha

Note that is not a little skunk on the floor...that is our little girl Oreo. She's a miniature Pomeranian and she turned 6 in September. So maybe, just maybe I might put this birthday linen out early next year so we can all enjoy it!

As for my 21 year old son Brett, he doesn't like his birthday when it comes around in July. He never did...not even as a child. (I think it was my singing him the birthday song that devastated him and scarred him for life).

Well friends, there are 6 more presents from Karen to open. I decided that I will leave them where they are and open them later so we will ALL share in the anticipation. After all, we have all month long to celebrate and I have many other lovely gifts that I've already opened and would still like to share with you.

Thanks again for sharing my birthday MONTH with me!!!!!

Thank you Karen...I love it! I really cannot wait to dig into the other ones...I'm putting my willpower to the test!!!

I sure wish we had that crown when you had your photo taken in Breaux Bridge under your birthday garland. That crown is to die for. I absolutely love the birthday linen also. I'm so jealous, as always. Keep having a happy birthday month, you so deserve it.

What a great sister! And boy, was your Birthday month good timing or what? You need to be spoiled and have a break. I'm so glad you are posting! Keep up the fun, and I can't wait to see all the goodies that she has in store for you!

How fun is this?!!!!
My sister decided the first year I had a child (operative word "I". She had already had three by the time I had one) that we would not exchange gifts any more - just the kids.
It made me sad.
Thank goodness for my sister-in-law Christie. She is like the sister I would've hand picked. (I would've beaned Mark's brother if he had married someone I didn't like. LOL)
So let us know what else you get!!!!
You have a library?????? That would be my dream! sigh.
HAGD! Hugs.Karen

Creativity must run in the family! You are one lucky gal! October is definitely a great month for you. After everything else, you deserve to celebrate big! Enjoy! I don't know how you can hold out, but anticipation makes the gifts that much more special! Enjoy each and every one and thanks for sharing with the rest of us. Best wishes, Tammy

Girl, Karen is a gift from Heaven herself! You are one rotten child-woman!!! Sorry I wasn't around for the party...was a little busy. I sure missed you at Warrenton. I had the Crown & Coke waiting, but I'm gonna try and hand deliver it.
If there ever was anybody who deserved a lot of pampering, I'd have to say it was you and the more the better.
That said, Happy Birthday just a little late!

Hi Jodie,

You have a lovely sister and what a fun lot of gifts she has given you.

Thanks for visiting me today, maybe we could go and celebrate your party at the French palace, I showed on my post. Now wouldn't that be great.

Party on Jodie!

Oh! How embarrassed I am Jodie! Your blog family- blog sisters/friends, see how 'uncreative' I am in wrapping your gifts! Uh oh! I do love all the SWEET thoughts posted about me by you and your blog family... How blessed yall are to have that connection with one another! I have peeked into many of their blogs on the days you were absent from yours.. Wow..Unreal! So much creativity and talent and beautiful sharing of lives! I always leave blessed by these souls that share yours....and have touched mine too!!!
Thanks everyone out there for yalls unconditional love and encouragement and nice thoughts, including YOU birthday girl, for accepting my limited creativity and loving me anyway!!! :)
Now, you must open the 'Open First' .... of course, when you can.... I understand!!! Just want to make sure you always will know I AM with you... emotionally and spiritually when I can't be physically.
I love you dear sister,
