Well Good Morning to you all...I hope you are having a wonderful beginning to a beautiful weekend!
I know I am as I can surely say something that I haven't said in quite some time... I have NO plans this weekend Yay!
So therefore, I am even more happy to say that I can FINALLY play with you and my dearest bloggie friend Marie today!!! I've soooo been wanting to play PFF on Fridays but my "scheduled life" never let me! (how dare she ;)
So if you don't mind, I'd like to join in the fun and share this post card with you all...
"Ring around the rosie, a pocket full of posies.
All the boys in our town, call for little Jodie."
{{{Okay, maybe that's not really how it went, but...}}}
Playing Ring around the Rosie was so much fun as a child. Now I'm all grown up and although I don't play this anymore (can you imagine how sore I'd be?), I imagine it as holding hands through our blogs and running in circles with others who are participating in Postcard Friendship Friday! Oh this is SO much fun!!!
If you're in town and would like to hold hands and join in on the fun, (but don't call me ;) click on the button below to see the list of lovely playmates!
Whoa, I think I'm about to fall down...
Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!
Okay, just kidding. I couldn't help myself. Let me quit being so silly...I really am all grown up~
Thanks Marie!!! I hope you'll let me play again?

PS...We all need to be silly more offten
I remember the game ring around the rosie. I read somewhere that the game is actually about the black plague.
Ring around the rosie is the way one's skin looks. Pocket full of posey--they would carry herbs around because of the horrible aroma. Ashes ashes--everything was burned. We all fall down = death.
Rather a scary tune and game for children to play. I never knew that, though until I was much older.
It is strange what things survive, and how the meanings can become lost.
Thank you for sharing this amazing postcard.
What a pretty, pretty blog you have. You've got a follower!
LOL.....
I love this post.....and I love your postcard as well.
I hope you have a most beautiful weekend.
Ohhhh....I have been wanting to do this, but never seem to get it together. Love it----I enjoyed ring around the rosie with you--the image is great and made me think of Spring as a child....so glad I was able to play today!!!!!
That was fun. In view of the news splattered all over the media being a child is so important, but being allowed to be a child is more important. I need to start looking for old postcards. Never payed them much attention before, but they are interesting. Blessings this weekend.

Cute postcard. i like all the colors in the children's clothes. Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend!
You are always ADORABLE Jodie! Do you know what my boys and I sing? Ring around the rosy..pocket full of candy...yummy..yummy..we all get sick! And then we make barfing noises and fall on the ground or we play it in the pool and go under water! This card is GORGEOUS! Happy happy PFF! I'm sooooo glad that you had time to join and that everything is coming up roses for you!
Love your postcard... what a cute idea to have a postcard Friday. love it! xo
What a beautiful card & a fun post!
Your beautiful card is truly the perfect iconic representation for what it feels like to be a part of PFF. I love it.
Ring around the rosie was fun, but what I really would like to do again would be to SKIP! Maybe I'll do that this weekend in the backyard...
Hi Jodie,
So glad to see you at PFF. Your card is so beautiful, I remember playig ring around the rosie all the time. Enjoyed your post and glad you made it over to PFF finally.
Hugs,

The way I heard it was:
Ring around the rosie,
for a good time, call Jodie!
This looks like it could be a lot of fun especially for those of us who love old postcards and all kinds of paper!
Have fun this weekend, whatever you decide to do.
Debbie
Hello Jodie,
I like your postcard and the words and idea you put in.
I also have a quick browse at other posts, like the idea you show a "wish y'all were here " in the photo... may be I'll do that too.
Greeting from Malaysia.
LoL You sure are having fun with this post. Now, what is in old pictures that gives it a whimsy-feel? They do! Oh and whenever I see children like the ones you have in this kind of postcards that I see here in blogville - I can't help but think of cherubs! :-)
Lovely postcard , and lovely text !
Nursery Rhymes remind of me Agatha Christie's Novels !
Gosh I just love those old postcards! Is it French? I stumbled across a bunch at a shop and was thrilled to find out they had the most lovely script writing in French on the back - almost like getting two wonderful finds for the price of one!

Jodie, I just looooove that sweet image...It really reminds me of when I was a kid and I would play ring around the rosie. What a fun idea postcard Friday...

Hi Jodie,
I used to enjoy playing ring around the rosie, especially if there was a cute guy.
I love your vintage postcard - I do love Sailor suits and used to dress our kids in them when they were small.
Have a great weekend
Hugs

what a beautiful card! All young children seem to have enjoyed that game at some point... I remember loving the feeling of falling down :) Happy PFF or better, said PF weekend. Glad you played!
LOL. I love the remake of 'Ring Around the Rosie'.
