Okay, I'm already on to a much lighter (& prettier note) from the last post...
I tell ya, I had the best weekend last weekend. It was a last minute "girls" weekend and we had 2 missions:
1. Visit and get some smooches from our little niece Ella Jane
2. Shop for curtains, lamps, pillows, etc for my sister's new house
All was accomplished and more...including lunch at Chili's
{{{Ella Jane must take after her Aunty Jodie's love for Chili's Presidente' Margaritas!!! I just love that little girl!}}}
Pearland (south of Houston) recently built an awesome outdoor shopping mall, doesn't this look like California??? We stayed at the hotel right smack in the middle of this shopping goodness {thanks to brother in law for picking the perfect reservations!}
We found everything (well almost everything) for her home...4 lamps, comforter set, curtains for 5 rooms, curtain rods, accent pillows, flowers, greenery, etc. It took 2 full size crew cab pick up trucks to bring it all home...yes, I said two. She was happy and that's all that mattered because I just love spending other people's money!!! ;)
2 sisters, one sister-in-law (with a little sister/brother for Ella Jane on the way!)
2 brother-in-laws, one brother
2 beautiful nieces
Dear hubby and I had a great time with all of them...thanks for a great weekend, hoping to do it again soon!

Looks like you had a great time. Now you have to post pics of your sister's new house with all the pieces in place. Of course more of Ella Jane! Too bad about your son's car but as long as no one was hurt it will be fine. I wish we had a collision center! (or not, since I don't want any collisions at my house) Love ya, Pam
Your niece is so cute--she looks like she likes to shop--I am glad you had a good time with your family.
I'm glad you had a great time with your family...It's always the best spending time with family...I must say that little Ella Jane is a doll baby...

What an adorable little girl! And, what an adorable outdoor mall...Hate to read about your son's car. Not fun, but glad he's okay. Listen, I wish I could give you a big hug for your taking the time to offer me your sage advice on my last post. I really appreciate it, and am taking it to heart (and feeling less guilty) This blogging thing is wild. I am so grateful for the support of people I have never met or, in your case, just met briefly...
Looks like you had a great weekend! Ella Jane is even more beautiful than her name:) Chilli's is one of my favorite restaurants! I'm jealous that you got to eat there!
Your niece is adorable! It sounds like you had a great time! ~Lori
So sorry about your son's car. Hope everything goes well on the repairs. That little Ella Jane is a little beauty. What a joy she would be to spend time with.
Hugs, June
I follwed you over from Laughing with Angels and I hope you don't mind and I'm sure glad I did!! WOW!!
You are in Loo-siana? I'm orginally from the Mobile area. Dauphin Island to be exact. Miss the coast but not the hurricanes.
I love your vintage pieces. I'm a vintage f~r~e~a~k.......maybe I'm just a freak who knows, lol.
If you have a moment or two of your life that you'd care to waste, please visit me at my blog and do give me a Tiger growl :)
