No April Fools Here at My House...

While everyone is playing pranks on each other, I surely wish this was not real...

Dearest Son calling from his college apartment:  Hey Mom, got some bad news...

Me: Are you alright?

Dearest Son: Yeah, I am okay, but my car is not. I got broad-sided and my car can't stay parked outside.

Me: Which side? Are you sure you okay? Where did this happen? Where were you? Was anybody with you? How bad is it? Is it drivable? ETC. {typical worried mom questions}

Dearest Son: Yeah, it's drivable but the door is sticking out at the top and the forecast is calling for rain. I need to switch vehicles with you or Dad asap please.

Me: Well, were you at fault? Did you call the cops? Did you get a police report? {still asking typical worried mom questions}

Dearest Son: No. Mom, we didn't call the cops. It happened in the parking lot but I have the guys insurance information.

Me: Ok, I think I need some Motrin or better yet, a drink!

Of all places...a parking lot where neither car is not at will to pay for each other's damages! {And especially when no cops were called to the scene} So we will fix ours. The other little guy will fix his. We are too blessed to own an automobile collision center and even more blessed that our dearest son is fine!

Note to Dearest Son from Mom:

You always tell me you wish that I would mention you more in my blog. Well, this post is ALL about you honey. I love you!!!

Hope everyone has had a Happy April Fool's Day!

I'm glad that your son is alright! The car damage doesn't look too terribly bad (hope it will be an easy and inexpensive fix).

I'm so glad to hear your son is okay..Thank God...
Those accidents are wicked...I was in an accident on my way to my brothers last month..My car finally got fixed and we just got it back today...I was the only one with a strained neck...Hubby and my son didn't get hurt...

Jodie, I'm so glad your son is OK! My daughter and son-in-law just got here from New York (and are sleeping now), and I can never rest easy until they make it here in one piece! ~Lori
