{Come on now...sing with me}

Dang girl, you sing good!

Have ya 'eva...

heard of  Zapp Hall?

DSC_0088 (2)

I hear their pie is mighty sweet tastin' and they got cold beer.

Have ya 'eva...

heard of Round Top, Texas?

But not this weekend, NO ma'am.

It's Antique Week and the bluebonnet fields of Texas are alive!

DSC_0099 (2)

Ain't no time to be lazy in the Texas sun as we have some shopping to do and people to see.

Saddle up Cowgirl, you're coming along!

DSC_0086 (2)

Pack your best blue jeans and the most bling you can handle because we have a party to go to!

YeeHaw!

DSC_0096 (2)

I don't wanna leave ya behind so get to steppin' cause...

DSC_0089 (2)

that Texas sun is going down and I don't wanna miss a beat!

DSC_0100 (2)

There'll be time for some shut-eye when the day is done...

DSC_0091 (2)

but for now, let's soak it all in and enjoy the fun in the Texas sun!

DSC_0093 (2)

Let me fill you in on all the details now okay?

I mean, like how many photos of the same boots can you bear seeing over and over...right? ;)

DSC_0097 (2)

okay already!...I love my new boots, can't you tell?

The details...

By the time you read this, I'll be headed for Texas.

Round Top/Warrenton to be exact. It's Antique Week starting today through April 3rd, also known as The Marburger Show, and Zapp Hall is where the party is at.

I'm going meet these girls and more, some for the very first time in person at Theresa's Blog Party. We've all been blogging together for quite a while now but it's going to be so nice to put a name with a face.

Gypsy Chix ~ Amy

Fiona & Twig ~ Anne

Curious Sofa ~ Debbie

Time Worn Interiors ~ Theresa

Sweet Pea ~ Shelley

Talking Trash ~ Debbie (my hero)

Bloom & Bee Swanky ~ Amy

Raised in Cotton ~ Carol (love her photos of the show!)

Garden Antiques Vintage ~ Theresa (The Queen)

Primitiques & Poetry ~ Mindy

Heather Bullard ~ Heather

Jo Packham of Where Women Create

And SO many more!!!! I can't list them all...there is no way possible. I hope to be surprised at every turn!!!

But I can tell you that I'm disappointed. I have to come home on Monday, the day before The Marburger Show really starts...I have a job and a life so my little party must come to an end.

I won't be able to see Magnolia Pearl nor Gwen at French by Design plus many more I had on my wish list. {pout pout}

So you know what that means right? I gotta go back in the Fall and I'm hoping this chick comes with me...she promised! ;)

But there is a bright light to my cloud of disappointment as Lisa of Tarnished and Tattered is passing through Louisiana and will spend a day with me next week. Can't wait for that!!!! I'm so anxious to meet her, I can't stand it!!!

And the good news is...I didn't buy those pretty boots for nothin'!

As of yesterday, I am officially a Paper Cowgirl, Heck Yeah! I'm taking four classes with the most fabulous girls and will get to "play" with my friends for a long weekend in June. How cool is that?

paper cowgirl

I'm gettin' kind of used to this Texas thing, whatcha think?

;)

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to blast you with gorgeous photos of my Texas Weekend when I get back...get ready!

********

oh and ps....Thanks Sis for letting me borrow your Cowgirl hats. I promise to take good care of them, although I WILL add some "Jodie style" lace, trims, & bling to them   :)

Oh, it must be good to be you - lol! What fun you are going to have -- antiquing, partying, photographing... I am now living vicariously through your adventures this year. Can you attach a web cam to a hat so we can all follow you on your adventures?! Now that would be fun!
Big hugs to you Miss Jodie,

PS I have been having the same problem with posting comments through blogger -- I thought it was just my connection or something on this side of the world. It is quite aggravating but glad to know it's not just me! :)

Well...you will have to pop over to my blog and see all the pic's I took at Marburger....and from Zapp Hall too.
I about killed myself at the Zapp Hall venue and parts around there...it is so uneven walking around, up and down all those little hills.....and for a 72 year old lady like me...it was a "sacrifice" to go there.

( Laughing ) ARE YOU KIDDING ME...??
I would go if I had to crawl around the place. ~Same with Marburger Farm.
We did not make it to The Big Red Barn...this time...will do that in the Fall.
It was TOO much...as is...we came back two different days.

Come on over and see me.
Rose
