Oh! You are SO not going to BE-LIEVE what I found today at the 7 mile yard sale!!!!

Now before you read this post, promise me that you'll still love me afterwards...okay? No matter what you think of my finds, I want you to PROMISE me that you'll still love me, got it?

Well before I show you my loot...let me first say that I enjoyed the day with the gals...Sarah, Sandy and Sandi. I was so honored to have Sandy Navarro (already in Louisiana visiting from California) drive 2+ hours to come junk with me!!! She's such a sweetie!!!! It was only after Sandi left, we realized that none of us had taken any photos at all throughout the day. So before the three of us departed, we snapped these shots in the parking lot...

Okay now...time for the moment you all have been waiting for...

oh wait...

I want to thank all of you for your sweet comments, wishing me a good time and great finds! I really appreciate that ;)

Okay! Now it's time for the moment you have all been waiting for... my LOOT!!!

Well, after waking up at 4 in the morning, getting myself together  and traveling 45 minutes to the yard sale, this was my first WONDERFUL find of the day...

fabulous finds

Don't you just LOVE it? I just couldn't resist it!

Then, after parking and getting out of the Suburban over and over again to the point of leg cramps, I was SO lucky to come across this beauty...

fabulous finds

OMG, I just HAD to have it!

And walking through the wet morning grass in my crocs with smooshy stuff in between my toes, this find was SO worth it...

fabulous finds

Now you PROMISED me that you  would still love me no matter what you thought of my LOOT, right?

So don't be jealous when I show you this below...it IS my all time FAVORITE find of the day...you're going to LOVE IT!!!!

fabulous finds

I know!!! I know!!!! I told you that you'd just love it to pieces! Am I right? Gosh, I had so much fun with the girls.

I didn't take any photos of what the girls found as I was too busy walking and HUNTING for these perfect buys that I was able to take home.

Right about this moment, I'm sure you are FED UP with me and wondering why my FANTASTIC LOOT are just black squares.

Right?

Well, dear friends...even though you wished me a wonderful day and great finds, only half came true   :(

I had a WONDERFUL day but came home from the 7 mile yard sale with all of the above....which is NOTHING!

Na~da. Blank. Zero. Empty handed.

Not one single thing did I buy for myself. Not even a Dr. Pepper!

This was indeed the MOST raunchiest city wide garage sale EVER! And I do hope the Chamber of Commerce in Arnaudville, Louisiana and the Chamber of Commerce in Grand Coteau, Louisiana has a google search and finds this comment. Maybe they will see why most of the quality merchants have moved their business to surrounding towns. To sum it up nicely...(& I mean nicely) This was the perfect opportunity for the city to call this a "city wide yard sale" to allow tacky merchants from all over to come out and sell their new, unwanted side show fair stuff to the public and not claim any tax.

So I'm sorry to disappoint you as I was looking forward to coming home and BRAG to you about my new found yard sale goodies, but instead, I came back home empty and VERY much disappointed!!! Never again.

It's almost 7:00p, I'm super tired and almost sunburned. I'm going take a long hot soak in the tub.

Please get me out of this pooty mood and tell me that you still love me, even though I didn't find us anything...at all   ;)

Yes, Sweetie we still love you, now more than ever! I cannot believe that you didn't find a thing. What a wasted day with the exception of being with good friends.

Sounds like a trip I made to my brother in Raleigh. We headed for the Raleigh flea market and it was full of junk vendors. I don't mean good junk but tacky, crappy stuff....probably what you saw.
Yuck! Wasted day also.

I love your post though, it's so clever the way you got us with the black boxes. Maybe next one you will find good stuff to make up for this bad one.

hugs

I had to back out at the last moment with a sciatic nerve screaming at me to not make the three hour drive and now I am thankful I didn't. I did tell a friend from Sulfur how fantastic it was and she and her husband drove all the way there and bought zip, nada, not one darn thing. I hope she doesn't brain me when I see her. At least they got to eat at Prejeans so maybe she won't put the hurt on my head. Someone needs to shake a stick at those folks after getting everyone hyped up and then zilch. Naughty peeps!!! At least you did't get one up on me. :-) Maybe in the fall they will dig in the attics and barns and find some goodies that will get people back or else they can kiss their yard sale bye bye. Geez!!!! If you couldn't find something, then there wasn't anything.

Thank goodness for fun with the girls. You are all cute as a bumbly bee and buzzing around having a good time. Rest up and just stick with your good old loyal thrift stores. I will show all my goodies I found later. Even got so Pansies to plant.

I am sorry you didn't find your usual treats...I am glad the yard sale gods gifted you last week!

Thank you for putting my blog in your list. My eyes bugged out in surprise and delight.

I mean I'm just sayin when you have some money in your pocket and are already seeing where you are gonna put the things you find and then zero results it just breaks your heart. right? What crappy tactics and I bet they think this one over for next year cause they're still left with a bunch of junk even a savvy junker won't take home! Peace friendgirl, Mollye
