Silver Bella 2009: Tuesday

Good morning!! My gosh ~ do I have a LOT to share with you!!! I think I will officially call this coming week “Bella Week” as it will take me DAYS to share all of the goodies with you  ;)

It’s never too late to take you along for my ride to Silver Bella as promised, so here goes…

Picture 020

After a wonderful flight to beautiful Omaha, I arrived at the airport on Tuesday. Delirious from praying that both of my bags arrive safely, I anxiously called the Embassy Suites to come pick me up so that I could relax and unwind in the comfort of my luxurious hotel suite.

I kept assuring myself that even though it would be nice to have clean underwear and a tooth brush, the only bag that was REALLY important to me was my Silver Bella supply and tool suitcase loaded with velvet ribbon and lace! Both were waiting for me at pickup and all was good   :)

And it got even better…

As I am waiting for the hotel van, I see this pretty little blonde with the cutest little hat. I remembered seeing her on my flight from Chicago but I never dreamed that we were on the same Bella mission, until I looked at her baggage and saw her cute vintage suitcase…(her Bella Bag) and I knew I had to ask her if she was a Bella. To my delight, she said yes and the rest is history!!!! It was an instant connection :)

On this day, I met Robin Sanchez from California and little did I know that I would be so blessed in soooo many ways! I can’t give you a link as sadly, Robin doesn’t have a blog.

And, since I am typing this post from the Chicago airport, Robin’s moo card is in my checked luggage. She does have a flickr account and as soon as I unpack my goodies. I’ll share it with you so you can see some more of these beautiful little pieces of art like the ones above. She was generous enough to let me photograph some of her swaps. Yes!

ALL OF THE CREATIONS ABOVE ARE ROBIN’S CREATIONS!

If you were lucky enough to be in one of her swaps…lucky you. I wasn’t so lucky BUT she did give me one of her BEAUTIFUL handmade soldered necklaces…to die for!!!! I can’t wait to show you when I get it unpacked. You are soooo going to want one too!!! (Everyone says I’m nice and all, but you can’t have mine ;)

So Robin and I spent the rest of the day Tuesday shopping for and talking about Silver Bella. Being this was the first time she attends this wonderful artful weekend, I wanted to take her to one of our favorite places in Omaha…Second Chance Antiques…

Picture 041

I love that place…totally awesome.

I’m a little homesick and lonesome for all of you. I hope to unpack and post some more soon…

Take care :)
