Have you ever???

DSC_0179

Have you ever been touched? I mean really touched with that feeling deep down in your heart that just feels so warm? So warm that it feels like your insides are melting and turning into chocolate?

DSC_0180

Have you ever received something unexpected in the mail, not recognizing the return address? Having to tear the box open (while sitting in your car) to take a peek inside?

DSC_0181

Have you ever felt that the longest trip was from the post office to home? Or in some cases, the walk from your mailbox to your front porch?

DSC_0184 (2)

Have you ever thought "I can't believe someone was thinking of me enough to send me something so beautiful"...have you?

DSC_0187 (2)

Have you ever felt the need to rip open the box without grabbing your camera to capture the beauty of the wrapping? And felt guilty when you missed the chance to do so?

DSC_0194 (2)

Have you ever thought "How could I repay this gracious person" because a simple 'Thank You' would never be enough?

DSC_0186 (2)

Have you ever thought about the time and compassion someone took to create something special...just for you? Like you're standing there and wondering, Wow! Why me?

DSC_0193 (2)

Have you ever looked at each and every detail of a gift, wondering how this person can really understand you? Even though you've never met in person?

DSC_0190 (2)

Have you ever thought in your wildest dreams that you made a difference in someone's life? Possibly at the right time and the right place?

DSC_0201 (2)

Have you ever held something so beautiful in your hands?  Wondering what heart and soul before you has cherished it as much as you do now at that very second?

DSC_0203 (2)

Have you ever felt a loss for words? When all that you feel is your heart beating while forgetting to take a breath?

DSC_0181 (2)

Something tells me that you have experienced a couple of these feelings at least once or twice (or maybe more) since you've been blogging...

********

I have done all of the above...all in a matter of minutes yesterday morning, thanks to my little (Silver Bella) sister Lynn.

Even though she's not my real little sister, she is REAL in every sense of the word! She has a huge heart and a huge smile and has totally touched me in so many ways!

However, I do feel just a tad bit guilty as I am the baby sister in my family. I am used to be being spoiled by my big sisters...

I've been a bad big sister Lynn, I should be spoiling you!!!!

So for all of you reading this today, go out and spoil someone...even if it's just with a hug. There's a chance that you might make someone's insides melt into chocolate!!!!!!

Wouldn't that be yummy???   ;)

Have you ever?????? No I haven't.......but what a great feeling to have someone get you as much as Lisa does....so since my insides haven't felt like chocolate I would have to compare it to the fried oreos I ate last night.......no comparison.....I guess. But, what a beautiful gift-----Silver Bella is a true gift in meeting the BEST people!!!!!!

Have I ever...hmmm...yup, I have. As I was reading this I was thinking-oh my, this is the way I felt when Jodie sent me that beautiful bookmark last year, and when Jodie made the button for my blog tea party, and everytime I read Jodie's delightful comments on my posts! You are truly an inspiration to all who know you and you always make people feel special. You have a gift that way:).

Aaawww Jodie, how sweet isn't it? Yes there were times :-) But when I think of those times, it was that simplest, unexpected things that has happened. Oh I know, I am such a shallow little one when it comes to happiness, and that sweet aching feeling one feels LOL

(I am curious what you and your niece made. You make beautiful pieces, but still . . . )

I did send someone a gift like that once~now I think I know how she felt! It's so surprising to me how two people from one end of the country/state to the other can make such a special connection. You have a great way of expressing it. Thanks! Hugz, Z

Jodie,

This is one of the most beautiful posts I have ever read. Yes I have! And yes I will! I am taking you up on the challenge.

What a treasure your friend is and what a treasure you are.

I took your advice, I climbed out of the closet, cranked up some Pachelbel, (I create better to classical music), and created a new art piece!

Oh, you talented girls, so generous and sweet! There you go, now we're talking about chocolate again. Do you not have Krispy Kremes in Louisiana? I've seriously had to curtail my sweet tooth, so it's a fond memory. But once in awhile I indulge with half of a Dairy Queen Mocha Moolatte, one of my favorites!
