My Ticket to Better Backgrounds

Friday morning I was up early and out the door. My breakfast: Omelet with everything on it except mushrooms and spinach and add extra jalapenos. Headed off to the end of the line and slapped on the salsa! Yummy.

Off to my first class of the day, Better Backgrounds with Carolyn Peeler. My favorite teacher. I didn't know this yet because she was my first teacher, but I just love this woman from British Columbia. She works for Melissa Frances...who wouldn't be this wonderful? I love her energy, her smile and I love her style.

These were the awesome packets that greeted us...

Take your pick and have a seat. I chose this one! Yummy vintage wallpaper, vintage ephemera and embellishments...the kits was way too pretty to open!!!!!

We could use this  stuff in the kit she provided or a picture of our own that we brought. Well, I certainly didn't use this cabinet card as I am a cabinet card whore and collect them with passion so I used a copy of an old photo I brought and this is what it's turning out to look like because I'm not finished with it yet. Matter of fact, I didn't finish not one damn project! But, it's all good.

Little did I know that I would be sitting by an awesomely talented woman by the name of Pam Kern of Frippery. She was dressed in her cute little Frippery apron looking all professional. A little intimidating to me at first but she took me in like a little lost project child and before I knew it, I was following her by her apron strings! Thanks Pam!

I didn't know her before class but by the end of three hours sitting by her side, I figured out 3 things about her: 1. She had terrible glue issues 2. She loves this one big tube of yellowy goldish paint and 3. I would also have her in my next class ... so the good news is there is more scoop on Pam later!

Here's a snapshot of me and my favorite teacher, Carolyn Peeler:

I hate seeing pictures of me...one down, 4 to go. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the mention but could ya photoshop a few of my chins away? I do think Carolyn Peeler's was my favorite class. I want to steal Oreo. he is so sweet and tiny. What breed is he? My Baby (labradoodle) likes to snuggle but 75 pounds of dog is sometimes uncomfortable on your lap. Pam

Sorry Jodie, I meant SHE. Please send my apologies to little Oreo. Pam

Wish I'd taken this class but I love the ATC album class that I had with Carolyn. She was great, but so were most of the teachers. It's hard to decide which was the best class. Loved them all. I can't believe it's been a week already since Silver Bella began!

Jodie,

my goodness you made me **blush**
:)
Thanks for saying such sweet, kind things about me.
I'm thrilled that you enjoyed my classes.
I hope that Silver Bella was everything you were hoping it would be.
Have a merry holiday season.
